these are 3 of the memorial quilts i made for a friend of mine. her mama passed away, and she commissioned me to make 5 quilts. she had the BEST dresses to work with!!! all COLORFUL and full of flowers and ocean life.......christina helped pick out the patterns and the other fabrics to be used as well as the turquoise minkee dotty backing......

her aunties.......yes, sideways!!! and i made another with the same pattern, but used the turquoise dress fabric for the shadows and another batik for the borders and binding.....this is backed in the batik instead of the minkee.......

| faith, hope and love....sideways of course! had fun quilting this....wrote in quilting the words faith, hope and love in different strips......did some doodling, and in the "words" strips-white with the words faith, hope and love printed in the bright colors--i did lots of circles of different sizes for some great texture.....lots of fun this quilt! |
